Nécrologie de Irma Marjory Stanley (nee Howard)

We are saddened to share that our mom passed away in the early hours of January 20, 2022 at the Pontiac Community Hospital.  Predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Archie Stanley.  Dear mother of Lee, Howie (Darlene Bargetto), Connie (Ken Campbell), Colleen (Keith Berry), Cathy (Kevin Moriarity) and Cheryl (Tom McCann).  Loving grandmother of Aaron, Scott, Brittany (Brian), Sheena (Lukas) and Ryan (Alyson). Step-grandmother of Tyler (Gillian), Kayla (Kyle), Mitchell (Lindsay), Bradley (Sue) and Andrea (Steve). Great-grandmother (step) of Mason, Felix, Graham, Rosie, Ray, Beth, Annie, Mathilda, Evelyn, Oliver and Allegra.

She will be greatly missed by her sister Evelyn Duff (late Don) and sisters-in-law; Mildred Robinson (late Bernie) and Marie Howard (late Herb) as well as her many special nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and neighbours. Predeceased by her siblings; Iva (late Keith), Ella (late Lloyd), Herb (Marie) and Marshall (late Linda).   Irma loved her work as a nurse at Pontiac Community Hospital. She was a devoted hard working farm wife and mother who had so many other almost hidden talents.

The family would like to thank Dr. MacLellan, Dr. Croteau and the staff at Pontiac Community Hospital for their wonderful care. We are extremely grateful for the love and care of Trish Reid-Tubman and her incredible staff at Tubman Seniors Home as well the CLSC Home Care Team.  We have been greatly touched by the stories shared with us by mom’s former coworkers and people Irma encountered at various points in her life. She obviously will be remembered as someone who made the world a better place.  Donations to the Pontiac Community Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.

Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Friday, May 27, 2022 from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service on Saturday, May 28, 2022 in the Hayes Funeral Home Chapel, Shawville, Quebec at 11 a.m.   Interment Norway Bay United Cemetery.
