It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Miss Mary Jay in Long Term Care, Shawville, Quebec on August 5, 2016 at the age of 90 years. Predeceased by her parents Alfred Jay and Bessie Elliott. Survived by her brother, Elwyn Jay. She was a former teacher with Western Quebec School Board for 37 years. Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Monday, August 8, 2016 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at which time a Service will be held in the Chapel. Reception will be held in funeral home. Interment to follow in St. Andrew’s United Cemetery, Campbell’s Bay, Quebec.
