Nécrologie de Geneva Kingdon (nee Zimmerling)

Passed away in Hospital, Hull Quebec on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at the age of 75.

Beloved wife of Robert Kingdon for 56 years.  Loving mother of Tracey, Lena (Aldege Villeneuve), Carl (Anna), Claude and Peter.  Cherished grandmother of Daniel (Sarah), Alex (Emilie) and Trevor.  Beloved daughter of the late Otto and Lena Zimmerling.  She will be missed by her siblings; Alma, Gloria (Germain Chatrand), Ward, Roger, Wayne (Sally).  Predeceased by her brothers Gordon (Jeannine), Jewel, Donald, Bruce and Louis.

Geneva has left lasting memories with many nieces, nephews, cousins and her friends from the Shawville area and the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  Sadly missed by her little dogs Sasha and Bo.  Her family and grandchildren were very precious to her and always put them first.

Geneva loved to work each summer in her garden and had a heart of gold.  She gave neighbours, family and friends vegetables on many occasions over the years.  She loved to read and listen to the birds in the morning.  She worked very hard over the years as a house keeper. 

Geneva looks forward to the day when all people will come to life again in the resurrection and live again on this earth under perfect conditions in God’s New Kingdom.  Acts 24:15.

We wish to thank the staff at the Shawville, Hull and Gatineau hospitals for the above and beyond care provided to Geneva during her stay.

Funeral Service will take place on Saturday July 22, 2023 in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1432 Chemin d’Alymer, Gatineau,  Quebec at 1 p.m.  Family and friends are welcome to join us for a reception following the service.  All are welcomed to attend the interment on Sunday, July 23, 2023 in Village Cemetery, Main Street, Shawville, Quebec at 2 p.m.
