Nécrologie de Lionel Laporte

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lionel Laporte on Thursday, June 15, 2023 in the Pontiac Community Hospital, Shawville at the age of 94. Son of the late Ferdinand Laporte and the late Florida Amyotte. Beloved husband by first marriage to the late Florence Mousseau and by second marriage to the late Geraldine Béchamp.  Dear loving partner of Jeannine Francoeur. Cherished and devoted father of Linda (Thomas Donnelly), Brian (late Lyn), Vivianne (Fern Gravelle), Bobby (Michelle) and John (Diane). He is survived by his stepchildren; Sylvie (Gilles Mousseau) and Jeannot Bertrand.  Predeceased by his daughters; Helene, Claudette and Nicole (Jean Ippersiel). Lionel will be missed by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Friends may call at the Hayes Funeral Home, 190 Principal Street, Fort-Coulonge, Quebec on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 21 in St-Pierre Church, Fort-Coulonge at 11 a.m. Interment will take place in St. John the Evangelist Cemetery, Campbell’s Bay. Donations to the Pontiac Community Hospital Foundation – Palliative Care Unit would be greatly appreciated.

C’est avec  le cœur lourd que nous vous annonçons le décès de Lionel Laporte survenue le jeudi 15 juin 2023 à l’hôpital de Shawvile, Québec à l’âge de 94 ans. Fils de feu Ferdinand Laporte et de feu Florida Amyotte. Cher époux par premier mariage à feu Florence Mousseau et par deuxième mariage à feu Geraldine Béchamp. Conjoint bien-aimé de Jeannine Francoeur. Papa devoue de Linda (Thomas Donnelly), Brian (feu Lyn), Vivianne (Fern Gravelle), Bobby (Michelle) et John (Diane). Il laisse dans le deuil ses beaux enfants; Sylvie (Gilles Mousseau) et Jeannot Bertrand.  Précédé par ses filles; Helene, Claudette and Nicole (Jean Ippersiel). Lionel sera grandement manque par ses neveux, nièces, arrière-neveux et arrière-nièces. .

La famille recevra les condoléances à la Maison Funéraire Hayes, 195 rue Principale, Fort-Coulonge, Québec le mardi 20 juin 2023 de 14h à 16h et 19h à 21h. La messe des funérailles sera célébrée le mercredi 21 juin à l’église St-Pierre, Fort-Coulonge. L’inhumation prendra place au cimetière St-Jean l’Évangéliste, Campbell’s Bay. Des dons à l’hôpital communautaire du Pontiac – Soins Palliatif seraient grandement appréciés.
