In hospital, Shawville, Quebec after a brief but valiant struggle with cancer at the age of 50 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Cathy Amyotte. Loving father of Cassandra (Andrew Malette) and Crystal. Predeceased by his parents, Gilbert Meilleur Sr. and Clarice Desjardins. Cherished brother of Arthur (Louise St-Jean), John (Sharon Clarke), Suzanne (Allan Normandeau) and Rodney. Loving nephew of Mildred “Minnie”, Elaine(late Garey Stitt)., Sonny and Neil Desjardins (Helen Rebertz). Dear son-in-law of Marilyn (late Roland Amyotte). Brother-in-law of Joanne (late Terry Hearty), Linda (late Bill Angus), Julie (Lloyd Lance), Patrick (Donna Vinters), Alain (Karen Cummings), Maggie (Ricky Crawford), Dan (Lynn Dempsey), Melvin (Debbie Smith) and Junior (Lori Kensley). He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. A Celebration of his life will be held in Campbell’s Bay Recreation Association on Wednesday, May 28, 2014. Family will receive condolences from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. after which time special memories of G.C. will be shared. A luncheon will follow. Donations to Pontiac Community Hospital Foundation or St. Elizabeth’s Cemetery (Vinton) would be appreciated. Love lives forever. We'll miss you until then.
