Nécrologie de Roscoe Congdon

Peacefully on May 2, 2022, in his 75th year.  He’s back at the farm where he belongs.

Predeceased by his parents, Albert and Bessie Congdon, and his half-sister, Mary Emmett.  Survived by his wife Sharyn, his son Jim (Vanessa), his sister, Etta Foster, the lights of his life, his grandchildren, Brooke, Meadow, Chase and Brandon and Cody, and several nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Renfrew Victoria Hospital for their care and compassion and to family and friends for their support.  A very special thank you to Donnie Campbell who has supported him and worked with him on the farm for what seems like forever.  Roscoe was a mechanic by trade but he was always a farmer at heart. He loved working in the fields and he was immensely proud of his cattle.  He had a heart of gold and would do anything to help someone who needed it.  He loved farm auctions, tinkering in the shed and striking up a conversation with just about anybody he met.

Friends may call on Friday, May 6, 2022 at Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by a Funeral Service in the Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Ottawa Heart Institute or the Renfrew Victoria Hospital.

He will always be with us, especially on the farm.
