Suddenly, after a very short illness, on Thursday, November 19, 2020 in Pontiac Community Hospital at the age of 84. Survived by Marilyn Plouffe, his best friend for 51 years. Father of John Quinsey, Jr. and stepfather to Rhonda Sharpe Morrison (Peter), grandfather to Cameron Morrison and Samantha and Lauren Quinsey, great grandfather to Delaney Morrison. Special brother-in-law to Brent Plouffe (Ann Taylor). Predeceased by his parents William Quinsey and Violet Hayes. John leaves to mourn his sisters Anne (late George Weeks) and Violet (Robert Campbell) along with many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Michael, James, Thomas, Ed, Larry, Patrick, Kevin, Danny and sisters Theresa & Mary. John was born on February 10, 1936 and raised in Montreal. Over the years he lived and worked in Ottawa and Toronto. He relocated to Shawville in 1992 and he took to small town life immediately. John belonged to the Rotary Club of Shawville, serving as Club President several times. He loved his Rotary family and always looked forward to seeing them. John was an animal lover and he is sadly missed by his cat, Kiwi. According to John’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service.
