Following a courageous battle with an on-going medical condition surrounded by the love of his family on Thursday, July 26, 2018 in hospital, Shawville, Quebec at the age of 90 years. Lorney Gagnon of Chichester, Quebec son of the late John Gagnon and the late Mary Fleury. Beloved husband of Loella Gagnon (nee Watters). Much loved dad of Donald (Glenda) of Rockland, Ontario and Marc (Lise) of Fredericton, New Brunswick. Loving “Pa” of Evan, Crysta and great “Pa” of Shea. Lorney will be missed by his brother Jim (Emmy) of Calgary and his sisters Bertha (Thady) of Petawawa and Lila (Bruce Furgoch) of Ottawa. Predeceased by his brothers Alysious (Olga), John (Faye), Donald, Garnet (Loretta), Rene, Harold (Mildred), Stan, Valerian (Mary) and his sisters Gladys, Marilyn, Magdalen Turner (Ellis Sr.). Dear brother-in-law of Rita Fleury. Lorne will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Resting at the Hayes Funeral Home, 56 St. Jacques Street, Chapeau, Quebec on Sunday, July 29, 2018 from 5 to 9 p.m. and Monday, July 30 from 9 to 10:30 a.m.  Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Alphonsus Church, Chapeau, Quebec on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 11 a.m. Interment St. Alphonsus Cemetery, Chapeau, Quebec. Donations to the Pontiac Community Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
