It is with heavy hearts that we have to announce that Mr Denis Gauthier passed away peacefully with his loving wife at his side on Monday the 10th of April, 2017 at the age of 74. Family and friends meant the world to him and he always held us close. His humour and tall tales telling was without comparison along with a heart of gold. Loved by many and will truly be missed. Survived by his beloved wife Mrs. Viola Beaudoin. Dear father of Glenn (Carlene), Nicholas (Dana) and Kathleen (Luke). Brother of Douglas (Maureen), Donald (Gisele), the late David (late Rita), Diane (late Percy), Debbie (Paul) and Dale. Denis was also the proud grandfather of 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Otter Lake, Quebec at 1 p.m. The family would also like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff in emergency at the Pontiac Shawville Hospital for all their help, work and support. In lieu of flowers donations to the Emergency room of the Shawville Pontiac Hospital would be appreciated.
