Nécrologie de Margaret "Peg" Sheppard
Unexpectedly on the 14th of March 2018 we lost our larger than life, beloved Peggie. Margaret Ellen Sheppard Lewis was the proud and loving mother of Ali Margaret Lewis, little sister of Ruth Barber and Patti Armitage (Randy Young) and special Aunt to her nieces, nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her sister Carol Kearnan and her parents, Ray and Mary Sheppard. She will be sorely missed by her partner Reg Carkner. Peggie will be remembered for her passion for Shawville, where her dry wit and warmth helped her capture voter’s hearts and become an elected Councillor. She will surely now be welcomed into the arms of the good shepherd and reunited with family and friends that she hasn’t seen in a long time. We hope there will be music.
Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until service time. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 22 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel. Reception will follow in the funeral home. Donations to the Pontiac Community Hospital Foundation or the Shawville Senior Centre would be appreciated.
